Celebrate the festive season with Christmas gifts for businesses
Which corporate Christmas gifts should you choose to achieve your objectives?
If there is one thing we have learnt at Gift Campaign after handling more than 1,880 corporate Christmas gift orders, it is that every initiative, occasion and campaign is different, so the gifts you give should be tailored accordingly. With that in mind, here are the gifts best suited to different audiences and situations.
Employees and teams
For an entire workforce, we recommend prioritising products that are easy to distribute and appeal to a wide range of people. Blankets, thermal bottles, Christmas socks, candles, sweatshirts and small gift sets make it easy to give everyone in the team a thoughtful gift without relying too heavily on individual tastes.
If you are ordering large quantities, it is also worth considering the cost per person and how easy the gifts will be to prepare and distribute from the outset.
Clients, business partners and suppliers
When a gift is intended to show appreciation for a professional relationship, presentation and perceived quality tend to matter more. A candle in a gift box or a set of wellness products can convey more thought and care than a purely promotional product.
In these cases, our team also tends to recommend more subtle personalisation. A small logo or one that is integrated into the design helps maintain brand visibility without taking the focus away from the gift itself.
Campaigns with large numbers of recipients
When you need to distribute hundreds of gifts, small Christmas-themed items make it easier to keep costs under control. Santa hats, decorations, socks, bags, sweets and seasonal accessories are ideal for events, internal celebrations, December promotions and customer engagement campaigns.
To secure the best deal, we recommend comparing the unit price across different quantity brackets before making your final choice, as costs can vary significantly.
What to consider when preparing your personalised Christmas gifts
Our experience of more than 10 years working with businesses across seven regions has led us to identify four key factors to review before placing a personalised order.
First, it is essential to know the recipient, including their tastes and needs. A gift for an entire workforce requires a different approach from one intended for a handful of key clients.
Second, consider how useful the item will be. Practical products are often used long after the festive season, whereas purely Christmas-themed items tend to make an impact over just a few weeks.
Presentation is also a key factor when choosing festive gifts. The packaging, combination of products and way the gift is presented can be just as important as the item itself.
Finally, pay particular attention to personalisation. A large logo may be suitable for a mass promotional campaign, while a smaller, more discreet logo may be a better fit for a Christmas gift intended to thank employees and clients.
Ideas for creating a festive gift set
Gift sets allow you to combine an unmistakably festive item with something that can be used for longer. Here are some combinations that work particularly well with products from our winter gifts collection:
- Personalised insulated bottles: Useful throughout the winter and easy to pair with small seasonal gifts.
- Personalised fleece blankets: Create a more substantial gift and are ideal for sets aimed at employees or clients.
- Branded candles: Add a decorative touch and feel even more special when presented thoughtfully.
- Personalised sweatshirts: Ideal when you want to give a longer-lasting gift, particularly to internal teams.
In our experience, a gift set is not better simply because it contains more products. What matters is choosing items that complement one another and meet the recipient's needs.
When and how should you give out promotional Christmas gifts?
For employees, it is generally best to hand out gifts before the Christmas break, while they can still contribute to the festive atmosphere. Gifts can be distributed at employees' desks, during a team meeting or at the company's Christmas party.
For clients, suppliers and business partners, however, we believe that how you present the gift is more important than exactly when you give it. We therefore recommend paying particular attention to presentation. Thoughtful packaging, a thank-you card and personalisation that reflects your company's identity all help make the gift feel as though it has been chosen specifically for the recipient.
How long does it take to prepare personalised Christmas gifts?
December accounts for a large proportion of Christmas orders, but your schedule should also allow time to review the design, manufacture the items and arrange delivery. Here is how our ordering process works, helping you plan ahead and ensure your gifts arrive on time.
1. Once we receive your logo, our team prepares a free digital mock-up within 24 hours, allowing you to see how your logo will look in your chosen colour and position.
2. Once you approve the mock-up, the factory prepares a digital print proof to ensure that all the agreed details are correct.
3.Once the final proof has been approved, production begins.
4. Delivery usually takes between 5 and 9 working days from the start of production. However, this timeframe may vary depending on the model, quantity and branding method, so we always recommend checking the estimated delivery time on the product page.
If your gifts need to be handed out at a company lunch, an event or on a specific date, we recommend working backwards from that date and allowing sufficient time to review and approve the artwork proofs.
Frequently asked questions about Christmas promotional merchandise
What types of Christmas gifts can I personalise?
The range includes everything from items directly associated with the festive season, such as decorations, hats, socks and candles, to products designed for use throughout the winter, including blankets, thermal bottles, sweatshirts and various gift sets. If you would like to include food in your gift, you can also browse our selection of corporate sweets with your logo.
Can I buy Christmas gifts without personalisation?
Yes. When configuring your chosen item, you can select the ‘without print’ option. However, if the gift is intended for employees or clients, we recommend adding your logo, even if it is small and discreet. This helps build brand recognition and, in turn, strengthen loyalty among both your workforce and your customers.
How can I check what my logo will look like?
Once you have sent us your logo or design, our Customer Service team will prepare a free digital mock-up within 24 hours. Before approving the design and starting production, you can check the logo's position, size and appearance on your chosen item and request any necessary changes.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Yes, although the minimum varies by product. It depends on the item, the supplier and, in some cases, the personalisation technique. You can check the minimum order quantity directly on each product page before placing your order. Bear in mind that we offer volume-based pricing, so the unit price generally decreases as the order quantity increases.
What size should the logo be on a Christmas gift?
This depends on your objective. For promotional campaigns, events or products intended to maximise visibility, a more prominent logo may be appropriate. For gifts aimed at employees, clients or business partners, we often recommend considering more subtle options so that the product retains the feel of a genuine gift.
Which printing techniques do you recommend for Christmas gifts?
Screen printing and pad printing are common options for one-colour or multi-colour logos and are suitable for many promotional gifts. For more detailed or colourful designs, transfer printing may be preferable, particularly for certain textile products. For wooden or metal items, laser engraving provides a precise, durable finish, while embroidery works particularly well on textiles when you want a raised, tactile effect. Each product page lists the personalisation techniques available for that particular item.
Which materials should I choose for a corporate Christmas gift?
The best choice depends on the type of gift and the image you want to convey. Wood works particularly well for decorations and products with a natural aesthetic. Felt, polyester and other textiles are common choices for hats, accessories and seasonal products, while glass, ceramic and metal offer different styles and finishes.
Are there Christmas gifts available with fast delivery?
Yes. The category includes products available with express delivery, which can be particularly useful for Christmas campaigns planned at short notice. Availability depends on the item, stock levels, order quantity and chosen personalisation method. We therefore recommend checking the product page for the specific delivery timeframe before placing your order.
