Comfort, Price, and Usage: Choose the Right Material for Your T-Shirts with Logo

• Cotton: Comfortable, breathable, soft to the touch, and hypoallergenic, cotton is one of the most popular materials for textiles and is ideal for daily wear. However, it’s important to note that it can shrink when washed. Organic cotton is also available, offering greater softness, durability, and resistance to washing. It is grown without chemicals, but its price is higher than conventional cotton.
• Polyester: Durable, wrinkle-resistant, elastic, and quick-drying, polyester is less soft and comfortable than cotton. As such, it is more suited for sportswear.
• Cotton-Polyester Blend: Combines the softness of cotton with the durability of polyester. However, it is not highly breathable and can wrinkle easily.
• RPET: Similar to polyester in durability, resistance, and quick-drying properties, RPET is more breathable and environmentally friendly as it is made from recycled materials. Its cost, however, is higher than more conventional materials.

Combed vs Carded Cotton

Cotton can be processed in different ways, resulting in varying levels of quality and finish.

Carded Cotton: The most affordable option and the lowest quality as the fibres are not combed, leaving a slightly rough texture.

Semi-Combed Cotton: Undergoes a shorter process to remove some impurities and tangles, producing a finer thread. It is softer and more durable than carded cotton but also more expensive.

Combed Cotton: Fully combed to remove short fibres, tangles, and impurities. This is the highest-quality thread, offering superior softness, durability, and less shrinkage.

Mix Sizes in Your Order!

Within each branded T-shirt, you can select the sizes you want for your order. Each model has its own available sizes, but generally, we offer a range that includes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL, and 3XL.

We have a minimum purchase requirement, but it's not necessary to reach this minimum for each size. For example, if the minimum is 10 units and you want that quantity, you could order 2 S, 2 M, 2 L, 2 XL, and 2 XXL.

T-Shirt Weight (GSM)

The fabric weight, measured in grams per square metre (gsm), determines the weight of the fabric but doesn’t solely indicate quality. For example, in cotton, the combing process also plays a role. Fabric weight is particularly useful when choosing promotional t-shirts based on their intended use:

• Lightweight (120-140 gsm): Ideal for warm climates or as a base layer under other clothing. These t-shirts are light and breathable.
• Medium Weight (150-180 gsm): The most common weight for year-round use, offering a balance of lightness and durability.
• Heavyweight (200-220 gsm): Suitable for uniforms or workwear. These are sturdier and more durable.

Printing Options

Once you’ve chosen the material and weight of your branded T-shirt, consider the best printing method for your logo:

• Screen Printing: Affordable for designs with few colours. It has good washing resistance but doesn’t allow for gradients. Ideal for cotton garments.
• Embroidery: Stitches your logo onto the t-shirt with coloured threads, creating a raised effect. Perfect for high-weight garments, with excellent washing resistance and a more formal look. Not recommended for complex logos.
• Screen Transfer: Similar to screen printing, but the design is applied to transfer paper and then pressed onto the fabric with heat. Ideal for small batches as it is cost-effective.
• Digital Transfer: Full-colour printing on transfer paper, applied to the garment. Less durable than other techniques and may deteriorate over time and with washing.
• Sublimation: A durable, resistant marking method allowing full-colour designs but only suitable for white polyester garments.
• DTG (Direct to Garment): Digital printing directly onto the garment, enabling full-colour photo-quality designs. It is durable and high-quality but only suitable for cotton.

Caring for Printed T-Shirts

Specific care instructions depend on the material and weight of the branded t-shirt, but here are some general tips:

· Washing: Use cold water with a mild detergent, avoiding bleach, and wash the garment inside out.

· Drying: Air drying is recommended. If using a tumble dryer, select a low-temperature setting.

· Ironing: Use a low temperature with the garment turned inside out or a protective cloth over the design.

Certifications for Clothing

Some promotional products come with certifications depending on their material:

OEKO-TEX: A global standard ensuring that products do not contain harmful levels of chemicals. It also focuses on quality, durability, and reducing environmental impact during production.

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard): Applies to items containing at least 70% organic fibres, ensuring environmentally responsible production.

GRS (Global Recycled Standard): Verifies that a product is made from recycled materials, promoting transparency and a circular economy.
